During our first general meeting of the year (!!!), we brought ourselves up to date on our two major projects, the Undergraduate Opportunities Fair and PS 101, considered our meeting schedule, and discussed recruitment.
Our next meeting will be in two weeks, the 24th, in (hopefully) Torgerson room 1120 from 6:30 to 7:30pm. Torg 1120 is an awesome room! All of the furniture is vibrantly colorful and wheeled, its walls are literally whiteboards, and it has four projectors and a huge smart board. These come together to provide a fantastic atmosphere for discussion and brainstorming. Come check it out, if only to see the future of classrooms.
We then dedicated the rest of the evening to determining how to increase our roster. We will be focusing primarily on adverts in listservs, distributing flyers to RAs, and contacting other education-related student organizations. We are looking to bring our numbers up within the coming month.
